About Lyra J

Lyra J is the musical collaboration of Shell Lyra Evans and Jon Whitehouse. Having worked in the industry for multiple years, they came together for this unique project. A distinctive songwriting approach sets them apart from their contemporaries. Their eclectic style pulls from artists such as Stevie Nicks, Bjork, Aurora, through dance music to Hans Zimmer and cinematic orchestrations, along with a Viking sound that echos throughout most of their music. Every song is written to take you on a journey. Their debut single is a song all about loss and grief and the feelings that surround it. They chose to make this simple and classic in sound.
